Hi all. I got banned for not using english while I was chatting on group chat and tagging a fellow nick in replies. The nick is essentially phrases of a different language spelled in English. This did not happen to me earlier but since I am back after some time I thought it's a new thing, no issues. I appealed the ban but haven't heard back. Any idea what I can do to restore my account?

Right. I received no warning and the ban came a few texts later. Usually I have seen most people get a warning. I do realise it was an error and I have posted the same in my appeal that I agree that I did make an error there but I'm not sure if the one strike rule applied here was needed. You know what I mean?

The warnings scroll in the room highlighted in yellow at regular intervals.
The warning is the rules you read and agree to upon every single time.
I don't know what you mean.

Users banned rightfully, if they still have a profile, have to wait out the ban.

What I mean to say is I was banned for a single infraction which I haven't seen before.

Anyhow, how long does this ban last? Is it a day, a week or an undefined timeline?

That's unfortunate. I really don't think this infraction deems a ban of maybe more than 24 hrs when I have been harassed multiple times and my reports were overlooked but I guess it is what it is and I can't do much about it.

If there is scope for modification of the rule set, would recommend considering that ban timelines be re-looked at so that the ban suits the degree of violations in future.

The rule is very simple. Terms are clear. You agree to the terms when you register and every time you enter chat. In chat, you're reminded of that particular rule quite often.

The website goes to great lengths to inform you of the rule and you've been at FCN long enough to be completely aware of the rule.

FCN will maintain integrity and enforce the rule. Try logging in next week.
