I sent two links in an hour and was muted with the first warning. Anything I can do?

You'll have to wait until it expires. There are very few moderators and a lot of anti-spam measures are automated with various countermeasure timer durations, which vary on severity and frequency of spam.

There needs to be some thing done about the link muting. I'm a long time member, so I never post links on the main channels, but muted everywhere for links in private messages without warning seems a little... Excessive

I was unmuted quite quickly to be fair, but it was a bit of a surprise getting muted on 2nd link in private messages without a warning.
