Yes. Although it's more the spice than food itself, sometimes. Beef Bourgournion is my mom in a pan. For my uncle it's oven fries. For my aunt, any kind of quiche. And poffertjes (mini pancakes, so cute) remind me of my grandmother. Or cheesy-onion bread reminds me of my other grandmother. Baked peaches and meringue of another aunt. I am full of food smell references.
