I'm not completely sure. Think it's a combination of reading about something in the news, seeing someone enjoy their hobby, stumbling upon something intriguing and doing a quick research, hearing people discussing their pastime, seeing something in movies, short video clips, out of necessity or boredom, the need to be always occupied with some shit so the mind doesn't run in rolling loops of nonsense. Curiosity for me is the largest driving force for when it comes to seeking hobbies. That's also one of my biggest personal shortfalls (if I can refer to that as such), because distractions and many abandoned interests or hobbies.
