So what's the furthest you've ever travelled away from home and why?


For me it's the Falkland Islands which is 12670 (7870 miles) from the UK. I was stationed there for 4 months in the 90s

Amazing place if a little out in the open. No tree's, but an amazing landscape..

9680 miles to Ireland. (Or that’s how far google tells me it is from Australia) went there for a family holiday. Loved it. Want to go back because we only really saw Dublin.

The furthest I've been is Cancun Mexico. By car it would have been 2,600 miles from where I lived at the time. It was for my honeymoon.

The furthest i have been was during my trip to South Africa. Travelled the east coast for 1 month and then stayed another 2 months as a volunteer in johannesburg at an orphanage. think the most south I have been must have been Durban. So lemme see that is around 13.652 km (8482 miles)

5,287miles from where I was stationed in Colchester Essex UK to Holdfast camp just out side of San Ignacio Belize.

Spent 6 months in 1991 doing jungle patrols and at weekends sun bathing on the beaches of Caye Caulker an Island just off the coast. Spent two weeks R&R in Cancun Mexico. What a tour

I've traveled the length of my state (2400klms) and been 400klms into the neighbouring state, 2800klms total but not all done at once. The longest single trip was by car, 1800klms (3 days)

I've been to lots of places lmao, too much to say, but the last place I went furthest from Cali is Australia, which was last year, thats 8,128 miles!

Longest drive for me was Exeter to Aberdeen which is about 580miles. Did it all in one day and was absolutely shattered when i got there haha
