Icebreaker Game How often do you...

Not regularly. I'll randomly binge on chocolate and sweets maybe once a month, or so. Honestly though, I'd love to just eat chocolate every day, after every meal.

How often do you base your food choices around what's more nutritious?

Maybe 3-5 times a year. Eggs are the only food I'd fry and I only have a fried egg sandwich if I'm hungover.

How often do you diet, reach a specific goal you've set yourself, lapse and then re-start you're diet again?

I have done it twice in 4 years, got sick and got out of my routine, rolled around in self pity, before deciding enough is enough. August 1oth, 2022. 27 lbs down as of today. (3 lbs away from Goal)

HODY encourage friends that their choice of weight loss is working?

I've had friends ask me for advice on weight loss and/or maintaining a healthy diet, in which case I'll offer support, advice and encouragement wherever I can. However, I never take it upon myself to comment on another persons weight loss/gain, unless they've conclusively told me theyr'e actively trying to lose/gain weight. There's just too many variables/potential to cause offence without intent.

How often do you weigh yourself?

3-4 time per year. I rely more on appearance and clothes fit. If you gain or lose muscle, weight might be deceiving.

Edit: I never worry about my weight. My genes are of slim people. I rely more on appearance, just need to keep eating healthier.

How often you type up a reply, get distracted/busy at work or wherever, return to the thread and there's a ton of replies?

Daily weigh-ins can be so tempting, but it could leave you feeling unnecessarily deflated.
Weighing at different times, when bloated, needing the toilet, hormonal changes, can all nudge your weight up/down a considerable amount. You might find it more rewarding weighing once a week, same day, same time.

I never worry about weight gain. I rely on how I feel when looking in the mirror and ensuring I'm living a healthy lifestyle, mostly.

Edit: Few times a day. Sometimes I'll continue typing my response and realise 2-3 pages have since passed lol.

How often do you forget to add a question on when answering these types of threads?

I do weigh in same time same everything every morning...positive reinforcement for a day well done....

Ha Ha....I wasn't gonna call out Queen Mod.

Hody use an air fryer?

Rarely. I almost always edit, rather than delete. Can get messier when deleting.

Never. I don't own an air fryer, but have considered buying one.

How often do you cook pasta, let it cool and then re-heat it again?

Every time I cook it, because I cook for more portions. Fun fact: day old reheated pasta has less calories.

Edit: During summer, once every few weeks and I freeze some portions. During winter I usually buy jars of sauce, although I don't often eat pasta.

How often do you cook for only one meal?

How often do you cook for only one meal?

The amount of calories in the pasta doesn't actually change, just less are absorbed. (see below)

Fun pasta fact: freshly cooked pasta causes the greatest rise in blood glucose. Chilled pasta, it's slightly lower. Cooked, chilled and re-heated has the lowest rise. It becomes a resistant starch and is digested more like a healthier fibre.

Urm, varies massively. Some weeks I'll batch cook everything, other weeks I'll batch cook nothing.

How often do you spend a whole weekend baking/cooking/freezing/planning foods?
