New Feature Introducing: Thread Prefixes (pilot)

You're not required to use this feature.

You now have an option to select a Thread Prefix for your thread. Different forums will have different, appropriate choices. Several forums might share one or multiple available Thread Prefixes.

This organizational option is still work-in-progress and options will be tweaked as necessary.

Feel free to throw in a suggestion, however, we definitely don't want an endless list of Thread Prefixes, so Thread Prefixes need to be generally widely-applicable.

This is how Thread Prefixes appear in the thread list.

You can click on a Thread Prefix of your choice in the thread list and all the threads with that particular Thread Prefix will be filtered for you.

This is how a thread list filtered by Thread Prefix of your interest appears.

It's a great way to seek only the content you're interested in.

If you want your thread to stand out and be served to like-minded users, do choose an appropriate Thread Prefix.

Editing your existing thread in order to add a Thread Prefix:

Your previously created thread has no Thread Prefix or has a Thread Prefix which you would like to edit:

Open your thread, locate Thread Tools and click it:




Click on Edit Title:




Note your thread has No Prefix. Click on No Prefix:





Select appropriate new Thread Prefix for your thread:





After you've selected a new Thread Prefix, click on Save Changes:





This is how the thread appears after you've added or edited the Thread Prefix:

How to find all of your existing thread and edit them, if you like:

Navigate to your own profile:




Click on Postings tab:





Scroll to the bottom and find Find All Threads By YOU:




This is the result page for all of your threads. Navigate to each thread you're looking to view or edit:

Well, whatever the intention was, the result for me was being able to identify subjects in the forums page that appealed to whatever mood I was in.

As a regular visitor to the forums it makes it easier to find subjects that might normally be missed.
Although it seems I spend half my life in here, I usually only have time before and after work and being a single parent.
Instead of scrolling through and tripping over interesting stuff, this idea hits the right spot.

Definitely a big success
