Kim Yo-Jong, Kim Jong Un's sister, has announced that a formal end to the 1950-1953 Korean Conflict is on the table for discussion if the U.S. and South Korea drop their "double dealing" attitude towards the North and their right to defence.

I believe this is just their way of trying to get Seoul to persuade Washington to lessen sanctions. There are also people hopeful of a reunification

Honestly it puts USA in a very tough situation. North Korea has always been allies with Russia and China, and now those two have strengthened their ties as China becomes more aggressive by the day.

It does. Biden is an old cold warrior though. I am not sure he would agree to lesson sanctions without something big in return. But at the same time he wants to reaffirm our ties with allies .Will be interesting to see what happens.

politics is a game of chess so always a winner in it -no one wins in politics as all corrupt and power

North Korea does this it seems whenever the U.S or S.Korea change presidency. It is a game but still a serious one.

But things have changed this time around. Kim Yo-Jong is the one calling the shots and Biden has named her a number one threat ,replacing Smurf. There is a bigger picture that people are not seeing here

That I didn't realize. I knew her brother was in ill health and she was involved in decision making. I didn't know she was running the show. This only makes me think even more that Biden will play hard ball with the North. Especially if she is viewed as a serious threat. I am hawkish when it comes to my governments dealings with the North. Especially after the debacles of the previous administration. If she is smarter than Kim as reported and is better at negotiations then a serious security threat she is.
