I do not care about how developed his brain was. Or that he was 17. He was old enough to get a gun he was not legally allowed to own. Cross state lines to look for trouble and shoot three people killing two. You are making excuses.
You shouldn't let the law dictate your logic too much though. Just because he legally could do something doesn't mean by default that he knew what he was doing. In some places getting married as a minor is legal, but that doesn't mean children are capable of making such decisions.

Same also applies to morality, which is an argument I'd much prefer to hear actually.
I think the argument I would make is that just because he legally could do something doesn't mean it's right. @NJguy86 already gave that opinion though.

I just feel like it's inappropriate to wish death upon him because he doesn't seem to have any bad intentions according to the Wikipedia article I linked. Screenshot_20220104-205525_Chrome.jpg
In terms of the shooting itself, Put yourself in his shoes, if you're a teen in an already dangerous area where you know violence is happening, and you have to deal with a group of adults trying to hurt you, you're gonna wanna defend yourself.

"But he knew where he was going?" When a woman goes out at late at night, she knows she's going to have to deal with nightlife dangers, so if she wants to carry something to protect herself, does that make her bad?
In rebuttal to the argument that pepper spray or a self defense knife isn't the same as a gun, it's still self defense. Do people who kill their rapists in self defense deserve to be labeled murderers?

I do believe in gun control, but I also believe people should have the rights to defend themselves. Some people will disagree with this opinion, alright. But I feel like there is a level of victim blaming present.

I hope what I said here made sense, I'm on mobile and only online for a quick break from work rn, lol.

A woman going out and a boy going somewhere he knew was in a riot/protest zone with a gun is such a different thing... and Dcdevon is right if this boy was black he'd be dead.... not a hero

They are different things, yes. But I hope you atleast got the point I was trying to communicate there in regards to self defense.
Also yes, as both me and @Dcdevon have mentioned, the scenario would be much different if he was black.

I'm 47 and Australian (we have gun control) it's unimaginable that he's free... he went there he, could have stayed home.. those people he killed would probably be still alive... I don't see your point at all sorry

This makes absolutely no fucking sense

But he was asked to defend that area, and he has the right to defend himself. What about the men who tried to kill him? If Rittenhouse deserved to die because he defended himself, don't they deserve to die too because they deliberately tried to hurt him?

I hope this communicates what I'm trying to say.

He was 17 ? If I wanted to be defended I'd call police not a kid.. he had no right to be there !! Do you understand that ? He's a child

No he wasn't asked to defend that area. Stop acting as if you are a liberal. You are a far right fool who believes all the bull shit she hears on OAN. The more you talk the more ridiculous you sound .

Hush child adults are talking. Spew this nonsense to someone who cares .
... how am I supposed to learn the argument your trying to make if you refuse to explain it to me? The thread is public and if you genuinely are confident in your opinion, I can't learn from it if you don't explain it. I already said condescension will get us all nowhere in the place of discussion and debate.

I do not care to educate you. I have been patient with you because you are a kid. My patience is over. You are a foolish confused little girl. Who just wants to make stupid excuses for Rittenhouse. Say dumb shit I will treat you like you said dumb shit .

I said he should have been shot and killed as an active shooter. That isn't murder.

You literally said this: "The man with the pistol who approached him should have shot him. He didn't which is a shame ."

Kyle did not point his weapon at the guy with the pistol until after the pistol was pointed at him. It was at that moment he shot the guy, blowing off part of his arm. The guy even said so in court. Why do you think preventing murder is a shame? What happened to you to make desire murder?
