The quality is going to suffer alot if you're trying to compress the file size to 1mb or less. Not much you can do about it unless you compress the video format before converting to webp. easiest thing to do is use an image host because there's no file size limit that I'm aware of.
ohhhh. i did but i think i only did it after trying to upload directly i was still trying to get it under 1mb. ill try that. if it works i can make some more videos and gifficate them. i was throbbing like a mofo making that one

ahhh there we go. it still made it square but thats just the site i used to make it a gif. i can maybe find one that doesn't do that. or just crop them square when their still videos

im going to make a couple assumptions and offer advice for it. i think part of the "fuzzy nature" is that you might be using the digital zoom to get close instead of staying in the optical zoom range and then cropping the video. you may also be fighting the auto focus bc of the lighting. also, you will get much better results if you control the lighting more. having light come from behind you more directly at the lens will make it seem more washed out. having more "down light" or indirect/ bounced lighting will help a lot. there is so much that goes into filming/ photography that can help elevate even at home art to higher levels. you can prolly google some YT vids about it (just like a make up tutorial) and learn some easy tricks that you can apply to any indoor filming, be it spicy or not. :) but im glad you are having fun with it!
