Who is the most memorable famous person that died tragically?
As many have said, when Chester died, I was an absolute wreck. It actually almost made me give up on myself. People were like "he had everything! What could he be depressed about? He seemed happy." And that's the thing about mental health, depression, etc. It doesn't care who you are... It will fuck with you all the same. The reason I was broken want because he was a famous artist, but it was a prime example of someone who had been successful battling his demons up until that point. My thought process consisted of me worrying about myself... If this guy, who used his art as a means of therapy and expression couldn't beat it, how could I?

Therapy helped. A lot.

Do you support social distancing?

Bonus Q: Do you think there's a better term to be used than "social distancing"? If so, explain.

I 100% suport social distancing.

I am not in favor of putting profits over people. That irresponsible tweet from Orange man was no doubt informed by ignorant people at Fox News...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

New name should be "Stay back. This is bigger than you, you fucking dick." Rolls right off the tongue.

Absolutely in favor of social distancing. It’s imperative for all of us for a while in order to keep the healthcare system from becoming a complete disaster. And it’s already proven to be working. Maybe not so much in parts of NY, but I believe they were also a little slower than they should’ve been to shut things down. That being said, this isn’t just going to go away. We can’t become a third world country. There are also some benefits to catching the virus, it gives you immunity. Although a vaccine would be great, immunity is better. The more people immune to it, the more people protected. But, we’re no where near enough to make a big difference. There’s a flu vaccine shortage every year, imagine what this will be like. So, social distancing to a point. And then it needs to be about protecting the most susceptible and getting others back to work. Or else there will be no jobs to go back to.

I might get ripped for my answer, but here goes. I support it to a certain point. I think there was a need (and still is) for stopping the spread of the virus. I believe it can and will help with not overloading the healthcare system.

However, I am not a proponent of extended social distancing (beyond 2 months). The economic impact is already disastrous and will become even more so the longer businesses are closed. People's businesses, jobs, homes, and even their lives are going to be severely impacted the longer we practice social distancing. Suicides will likely go up. People will be starving. At some point the cure (shutting everything down/staying at home) causes more of an impact to society than the virus itself.

I would say if you are an at risk person you should always take the necessary precautions. This goes with any illness or virus.

I know people feel strongly the other way on this issue. I respect other's opinion. Not here to argue, just answering the question in my usual verbose way.

Bonus Q Answer: How about 'Staying at Home' or 'Get Out of My Personal Space'? Crickets... Okay! : )

I liked that you were looking at the larger picture including the value that comes from being able to work and all that goes with that. In the US at least, it appears we are on the verge of doing something to help keep small businesses (that means with 500 employees) funded to support them and their employees with federally backed loans for about 10 weeks of cost, including payroll and benefits, etc. If the companies maintain the level of employment throughout a required period and meet other qualifications the loans can be forgiven. Obviously, there much more complexity in the requirements than can fit here; the bill is like 800 pages or so. I think much attention will be on the personal direct payments ($1200 + $500 per child) for people with adjusted gross income under $75k single/ $150k married. But, I think you will appreciate the significance of the bill to mitigate the immediate economic impact covering a very significant portion of employers and businesses. Here is a good article:

Hey thanks for posting. I read a good bit about the bill this morning. It's definitely a step in the right direction. It provides some immediate short-term help to those who need it. Now if the virus keeps spreading and we have to keep things closed longer ... don't even want to think about it. The loss of life will be staggering along with the economic impact.

Let's just hope we can combat the virus, stop the spread, help those who are sick, help those who are in need, and do what we can to make the most of a terrible situation.

A question for each of the 2 different types of people: those who own a sex toy and those who do not...

If you do, has anyone ever found them?

If you don't, whhhhyyyyyyyy not? Lol

I'll get one (or more)...gosh if I didn't spend all my money on Gouda and guns I'd have some by now.

Really I plan too, sooner rather than later....as I was married, I always had hope to have a mutually enjoyable sex life, every day I had hope, so I never thought about anything but her...now that I'm no longer married, there's no reason not to think more about me. So I'm sure before anyone knows it I'll have a toy box all ready to craft with.

I don't own one but I did buy one for my mrs - she's a little shy to get one for herself.
edit: twice actually - the first one wasn't all that hot, but was less intimidating

Not that I know of, we have quite a collection and they are all in a backpack in the closet except for one that is near the bed for quicker access. ;)

I do support Social Distancing to full extent. The Corona virus spreads through contact and the best way to prevent it is by reducing the contact.
The people who think that they have a strong immune system and that the virus won't harm them might be right but they could act as carriers and help in spreading the virus which could affect the ones with a weaker immunity/ health problems.
Hence, in my opinion, Physical distancing is necessary to beat this Pandemic and regain control.
Tip: try to complete your daily required amount of Vitamin C (40mg) which is found in citrus fruits or also in tabular form and Zinc which is found in beef, pork chops, peas, yogurt, cashews, chickpeas, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etc.

I think it should be called hibernation and I support it whole heartedly. If only it could be extended for six more months. :3
Be careful what you wish for....governor here just tacked on another month....but hey, maybe on my birthday I'll be officially able to go somewhere!

What are you doing to stay sane during the lockdown?

Not sure FCN counts lol...but I find myself spending A LOT of time here with all you crazy wonderful people since this started haha. :) On the real though, I started writing, exploring my artistic side, getting out in nature more, and generally freeing myself from some toxic aspects of my life that were holding me back. A new beginning of sorts. :)
