When was 7years old my grandma became Alzheimer's. It started with her forgetting her keys or her winking at the telly saying" I know him from school". Mom explained to me that grandma is not trying to be funny or something, No,grandma is ill. Knowing this it still was a shock for me when she forgot my 9th birthday. From there it got worse. It hurt when she shouted at me 'who are you? What you want?" Just bringing your shopping grandma. I made the shopping list an hour before with her. She didn't recognize her own daughter, saying Mum died years ago. And so on. She died when I was 16. This song reminds me of this time and the disease.
I had a grandma as well as pappy who had Alzheimer's ❤ I felt fortunate that they were extremely pleasant because not everyone is. It truly is heart breaking when someone forgets who they are and all their loved ones

It was easier for us when it got really bad about 3 years before she died. At least we knew what to expect. Before that we didn't. Sunday at lunch. Dad ask grandma what she is doing the afternoon. Grandma" I going to visit my daughter. She can't be bothered coming here anymore" My mum sitting right next to her. 20 minutes later both are in the kitchen doing dishes talking and laughing. When I knocked at her door i took a few steps away because I didn't know what happens. Maybe she says Hi Sandra or she got a broom in her hand or something to throw at me as screaming robbery. That been the worst times for us

Is there a song that captures you, someone you know, or a moment in your life perfectly? What is it?
I didn't get why everyone I know kept bugging me to see this movie until I saw it...made my heart ache more than a little.
The sense of searching, duty and so on captured in this silly Disney song...o_O:confused:
