Well I severely neglected this thread :D

New question! What is something about yourself that you are proud of? Could be something you've done, or just something about yourself.

A couple of years ago I was on the dark side of life and didn’t want to live it anymore… worked incredibly hard for the sake of the people around me to get out of it and I am now at that point that I feel stronger than ever mentally speaking

At my previous job I stood up to my terrible boss. By terrible I mean she was verbally abusive and overworked everyone, got combative with customers.., I could go on.
One evening while I was working, 2 hrs past my shift mind you, she proceeded to yell at me about how awful I was at my job. Why? I forgot to clean the freezer doors.:rolleyes:
Basically I snapped and politely told her to fuck off (not those exact words).
I tolerate a lot and keep a lot to myself, but being treated like less than a human for a shit retail job by a garbage human of a boss I will not.
I'll always be happy and proud I did that.

I'm proud about being able to get through college with a good GPA while working full time. My mom was fairly sick when I was in college, so I worked a lot while in college. I would go to school from 8 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, go home and change, then work nearly 8 hours in the evening. Not every day, but quite a bit.

Even though it's been a while I look back on that time and don't realize how I did it because didn't sleep very much. I guess it's because I had to do it in order to help out with expenses around the house and to eat.

I learn myself to speak English less than 5 years ago is not perfect but better than I thought it would be by now considering nobody help me I just start to read English books with a dictionary next to me my grammer and spelling sucks but I am getting there slowly but surely. One of reasons I start to chat was to improve it but then discover different kinds of English lol or so it feels but all understand me and me them mostly sometimes I use google sometimes Jinxy have to explain the contexts to me but mostly I am proud of how far I have come. I also improve my Nederlands and German since I am here also both I have learn myself however both have strong relations too my own language which makes it easier.

I would say still waking up every day and battling my health and body and done it for 8 years straight now and I'm proud of myself for staying strong through it all and for the rest of my life.

Everybody understands your language as it’s filled with wonderful thoughts from a beautiful mind! Je bent een mooi mens!

How do you let others know you care about them?

Generally by actions such as hugging them and going out of my way to do things for them (making them dinner, cleaning for them, giving them a massage, and buying them a little something when they least expect it).

Also think telling them you care goes a long way. It can't always be words though, but it is important they hear you say you care for them.

Depent on who the person is some like to know i am there silently for them i am there silently
Some like to hear it for them i will tell it
Some like to feel it for them i will reach out and touch them
Some want a mix of the above for them i will do that too
But in end they all will know i am there and care it is never the same i show people i care according to they personalitys and that is different most import is they know
