Looking For Book Recommendations

I'm between books...I don't feel like reading some of the books in my pile yet...so looking for recommendations for something to read next. I thought maybe others are in the same situation looking for something to read. Or someone just read something so good they are hyped on it and want to talk about it. So please share.

I mostly read science fiction, mysteries, comic books and short story collections.

All time favorite... Life of Pi
Close second ... The Phantom of the Opera

Currently trying to read Bad Monkey, but @Martystaffs keeps distracting me.

I've only seen the movies for both of those books. I will have to give them a try. Bad Monkey sounds intriguing. Hopefully i can avoid being distracted
