Uhhhh? That's not representative of the bdsm community at all especially chat doms. Chat doms are in their own special category of bdsm which I don't even consider real bdsm because they aren't real, and they don't understand what real bdsm is. On chat it's also easy to show a fantasy version of yourself. You only want to show what you want people to see and some people make up a version of themselves which has nothing to do in real life. Some people want to act out their fantasy which includes bdsm. Lots of people, due to constraints in their real life, cannot do real bdsm and come here to get their fill of the fantasy for bdsm, which isn't a bad thing. I don't think they are posers simply because they have a complicated real life which stops them from pursuing real bdsm.
As for the inflicting pain on people... there is nothing sexy about people who immediately shove their fantasy and fetishes upon other people without the other person's consent. There are a lot of doms who act as though everyone is their sub, or they approach subs as though they are their subs and start ordering them around as though everything has already been established which is not how it works in real bdsm. You shouldn't ever approach other subs like you own them already. Sadism and masochism can be a normal fetish if done consensually between each party and is a normal practice in the bdsm community and I have no idea what you mean by attitude and "their choice"
