North and South ( I mean the UK drama with Richard Armitage and not the USA drama with Swayze although it deserves praise too)

Guys, please give this adaption of Hilary Mantel's book trilogy a go. It boasts fine performances throughout and with a fantastic wardrobe too. Trailer below.

 
Throwing a dodgy one in here as it flirts with mythology and lore but it's such a spectacular and wondrous mess and well worth a watch.

Hollow Crown series. Yes it's an adaption of Shakespeare's history cycle but it's absolutely stunning if you can get your head around early modern English.

Scene below (if anyone wants to try it) sees John of Gaunt (a father to many kings) dying. He first bemoans RII before moving to one of the most famous monologues about England there is.
