When idiots argue. This is not an argument. This is all based on my experiences and observations.
The domesticated canine is an aggressive animal, hence its horrendous habit of barking and willingness to attack. This can be beneficial, as these characteristics can work well for security. However, the barking is much more annoying than useful and the dog is your friend. Would you really want your friend to put itself in danger? If your dog dies for saving you would you feel happy? Though it is a common conception that the lives of other animals are inferior to the humans'. And you can just buy a new dog, so who cares right?
The only fundamental issue the cat poses is its over usage of claws leading to the destruction of personal belongings, but dogs also cause this issue. From what I see, cats only have one problem while dogs have several. In addition, every benefit a dog has also has a downside.
I'm not an irrational person. I don't like dogs because they hurt more than help.
