Modern Fantasy art there is so many. One of my Faves is Boris Vallejo. He's done a huge catalogue of works for things like Conan. Mars stories, album covers and so on.

Whilst not everyone choice due to scantly clad male/female characters his depth of work and ability is huge.

If you have ever read a Discworld novel then Josh Kirby unique style of artwork will be on that cover. Well unless you went for one of the newer adult looking ones so that you don't feel your a big kid..

Rodney Matthews is a man whose been discribed as being an psychedelic artist for his sweeping use of colour. Often setting scenes using abstract colour ideas gain from out of picture light sources.

He's done album Art for the likes of Thin Lizzy, Hawkwind, Scorpions and loads of others. Many featuring the albino champion Elric.

I really like some of the Minhwa paintings. Minhwa literally means people of the painting or popular painting. These artists were never famous and they have not had formal training. Just shows that anyone can achieve great things. Here are a few that I found in a search.

Yeah isn’t that reference to terry Pratchets ? And yeah one needs to put in a lot of things in a frame for that kinda imagination
