I always thought I wouldn't mind getting older.
In my mind getting older was just getting wrinkles and hair growing out of your nose and ears.
But getting older gracefully is really learning to deal with unfulfilled dreams. Show me as much Facebook wisdom ("age is just a number", "its never to late to..."). The reality is that someday you're too old to get "discovered" by a scout to become a pro football player. Or get your next career step. Or have a place you can call home (literally and figuratively). Or travel to some places. Or this. Or that. The real difficulty is that after a good game, a succes at work, or encountering a special person, just for a moment you want to
believe you're
maybe not too old. But you are.
TLDR?
I'm aging pretty well. I (still) don't have to shave any hair coming out of my ears or nose
