Thoughts Post your little thoughts.

I’m thinking about someone special today.. my father would have turned 70 on this day, but sadly past away at 45. Way too young!

I was 10y/o at that time, so I have missed out on a role model for a big part of my life.. but I learned a valuable lesson from him. He was a warm-hearted, kind, incredibly witty and helpful man.. I can only try to be like the man he was and make him proud, tonight I will drink one on him! Cheers old man ❤️

I hated shopping before Covid but now everywhere you go to shop there's plexiglass between you and the cashier, you're both wearing masks and then throw in background noise, it's impossible to hear...I love that the cashiers here have started to lower their masks so I can see what they're saying without having to ask. It's the little things that make life easier.

It's really difficult if someone is deaf. I've had cashiers ringing me up that are deaf and they can't read lips when everyone is wearing a mask. It's easier at work if someone is ordering and they're deaf because they just type their order in their phone. But damn, I miss smiling at everyone and them knowing that I'm smiling

I'm only deaf in one ear and struggle to comprehend what someone is saying. If my daughter is with me she just automatically repeats what people say to me. I can't imagine being completely deaf these days with everyone wearing masks.
Smile anyway....I can tell when someone is smiling even with a mask on :)
