Cognitive defusion, how to stop overthinking. Our minds are word machines, constantly presenting us new thoughts, some that are positive but many that are negative. If we can take a step back and create space between us and our thoughts, we can consider each thought, asking if it is a good, productive thought, or a bad, unhelpful thought. We can become a consumer, deciding which thoughts to buy and which ones to reject. We might even say "Thank you for thought, brain, but I am not buying that one."
