Put a cup over it, then slide something flat but stiff under the cup, like a card. Then carry it outside and release!

Assuming I would even dare go near something this big and able to hop... It has moved and is now at least 9ft off the floor. Above wall mounted shelves. I couldn't reach it if I tried. It's like having an alien in my house. Creepy! I've never seen a bug this big in my life.

Big hopper is out in the wild again. I had help. Wondering how he got up to the second floor because he was actually missing one of his strong back legs. Poor thing. Took entire 1,5L measuring cup (needed the width) to even catch it safely.
