When you wake up, liver dumps a bunch of sugar into the bloodstream so you can have energy to move. Why would you want to add more sugar? Your muscles need replenishing after the fast (sleep), so you need to feed them amino acids (protein) and long/short chain triglycerides (good fats). Focus on protein as your first meal. If you don't prioritize protein in your first meals, you'll get fat and out of shape over years.
