There's the Great Pacific Garbage Patch too which is horrific.

the amount of plastic being dumped by Western nations onto poor countries without resources and no money is far greater. Plastic dumped on land instead of being recycled is causing environmental damage through toxicity, is being burned instead of recycled, etc. Take the waters out of equation and take your tune to absorb the insurmountable reality of plastic on land. Then, factor back in the plastic in water.
