Movies Recently watched films that left an impact on you

Which movies have you guys, girls, attack helicopters and toasters seen recently that really left an impact on you? For me it was 2 movies.

1. The Whale - This film really hit hard and did not disappoint me, even if I was a mess after watching it. Brandon Fraser knocked it out of the park with his acting. It was a film I thoroughly enjoyed.

2. Bullet Train - is it the most well written cinematic masterpiece of the century? no. But it is a fun energetic movie and damn is that something becoming harder and harder to come by recently. It was a fun film that had me smiling and laughing all the way through!

I didn't watch any movies that had a inpact on me. But I just watched Succession episode 3 of Season4. That Logan was going to die at some point in the season was no secret. But that it happened in the 3episode at this moment hit me completely by suprise.
The other thing happened was that i for first time felt emotional with the characters. 3 seasons long this brilliant show was all about this rich family full of arrogant assholes. And they could be really really huge assholes . And they probably will be again assholes from next episode,. But episode 3 will be there one people always will talk about

Most inpactful film I would say is Beautiful Boy (Timothée Chalamet) plays a young man who gets addicted to drugs (injecting hard drugs meth and heroin). The story follows his father trying to help him get clean with all the pain, relapses and stealing etc. Its a true story so it really hits hard on the pain and anguish the whole family go through. Excellent film with some real tear jerking moments. It was more hard hitting to me because I was an IV drug addict for 15years (I have now been clean for over 10 years). It was really well filmed without glossing over any of the issue's he has including overdosing, going through rehab 3 Times, being homeless but mainly a fathers love for his son stretched to breaking point over years of drug abuse.

Thank you. I was going to try to explain that you are never a "recovered" drug addict but a "recovering addict" no matter how long you have been abstinent. When I learned this was when my journey began to being clean.

Yes, I heard someone say to a recovering alcoholic, you can't even have one drink so I understand it's a recovering process. I can understand why you don't say recovered. It's great that you have made it 10 years. I wish you the best
