The Smiths were bigger than the roses ...i know people will disagree... but this is what a forum is all about. Discussion and disagreement.

 

They were. But I said Stone Roses were better than Oasis

 

I like both .... and have seen both live but I think oasis were a bit more mainstream.

 

They were but that doesn't mean better.

 

The Smiths are infinitely better than Oasis! there is no comparison, The Smiths had one of the greatest guitarists of all time and a poet (admittedly a prick) writing lyrics. Basically nearly perfection and the other were Oasis. No comparison!

Also Blur are better than Oasis, more interesting and more dynamic!

I kind of like The Preoccupations because two or three of their songs were fire and really got me pumped up.

 

Smith's easily. Don't get me wrong Oasis were good but the Smith's were head and shoulders above them.
