I used to play Dark Souls. All the saves were linked to one file, and there was nothing you could do about that because it was all automatic. The power blinked as it was saving. The file was corrupted and I lost probably about 300 hours worth characters.So do I
Final Fantasy XIII, power went out after Id gotten halfway through Disc two, hadn't saved since the end of disc one.
When you're on a really tight schedule, you're in the shower, your head, face and body is full of soap, it's in the middle of winter and hot water disappears for ten minutes, because your neighbor decided to wash clothes at a really fucking odd time.

That's terrible. I always made 3 files that I saved between, then a fourth that I only saved on once in a great while, so I could go back if I missed something really important.
It was more of "Got swept away by the story and forgot to save"
Waiting for train and it arrives jam packed with irritated sweaty passengers.... Fuuuhhhkkkkk
