Unable to authenticate

We’re aware some users are having difficulty accessing chat still. Below are some temporary workarounds which may help you access FCN chat:
  1. Try continuously pressing the "Log in" button after receiving the initial "Unable to authenticate" message. You may find that after several attempts, you gain access to chat.

  2. Log out of the forum, log in as a guest, log out again, and then sign in to your account. This may help resolve any authentication issues.

  3. Clear your web browser cookies and data for freechatnow.com, close the browser, reopen it, and log back into the forum. Then, try to log into chat again.

  4. Alternatively, you can try accessing chat under a guest account instead of logging in with your registered account.
We're working to resolve the underlying issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, these temporary workarounds may help you get back to chatting with us.

Nice to see it's not just me in that case. I've cleared all my cookies etc - the computer kind not the biscuit kind - and trying the multiple clicking. I'm sure it will come back to normal soon.
 
Cleared cookies many times, still does not work, total waste of time, I have been on this site over 8 years.
 
Do we have any info on why this problem even started? I've noticed a few times that FCN has been buggy since the new chat was implemented
 
I need to apologise to my keyboard. I assumed it was somehow not typing as it was told and it got a severe telling off - and now I learn it wasn't to blame....

& here I wa thinking I somehow got banned after not being online for weeks
