Do you need a toilet down there? Can you not just cap it off? Wouldn’t that stop the overflow then?no, all I can do is suck up the water rn. It's backing up from the floor drain downstairs and then causing the basement toilet to also overflow too.. so the plug has to be somewhere towards the main sewage line. But my expertise in handy-woman work ends there. I don't have a snake large enough to go far enough in the drain.
that would do my head in, especially with you saying you got replace the flooring. I’d be gutted!!
