Do you need a toilet down there? Can you not just cap it off? Wouldn’t that stop the overflow then?

that would do my head in, especially with you saying you got replace the flooring. I’d be gutted!!

no, I don't think that'll make much of a difference. Being that the clog is probably in the main line heading out to the sewage line in the street. If I capped the toilet downstairs, the water still would get plugged and back up through the floor drain, bc the plug exists beyond that toilet and the floor drain. I think if I capped the toilet the crap would then have no where to go but up the pipes into my upstairs bathrooms. And I don't want the water being pushed up into the main level of my house.

I'm not sure if what I'm saying here makes sense, but in my mind is does lol

hahaha I understand what your saying.

but your toilet waste wouldn’t run upstairs, your downstairs toilet is the lowest point and at the lowest point it will just keep going lower and lower, otherwise your toilet waste would not flow down the pipe.
I do drainage now and again but not sure how you guys do it but that’s how we do it.
So when you flush it goes down the pipe.

I’m not sure tho sorry, thought I’d try drop a suggestion haha

lol but it is flowing down the pipe. The floor drain is the last drain before it leaves to the main sewage. So when water is sent down from upstairs it doesn't get backed up until beyond the floor drain, but having no where to go, it backs up through the pipes, the floor drain, the downstairs toilet next.. so I can't send water down at all or it just comes back up. I mean capping the toilet might help so it only comes up through the floor drain, but I don't plan on sending anymore water down anytime soon until that clog is fixed.

Sitting in the waiting room... for 30 minutes and atleast 20 more minutes to go. I wasn't expecting anyone severely mentally ill here and tbh I don't really have patience for it. Wtf. This lady keeps yelling that she has a brain injury and she wants to kill herself. o_O

and why does everyone keep reaching for magazines on the table next to me :eek: So.... *sighs*
