WTF?! (Strange But True Facts)

The phrase “it’s raining cats and dogs” comes from 17th century England; as many homeless cats and dogs would drown and float down the streets, making it look like it literally rained cats and dogs.
 
Tigers have striped skin underneath their striped fir. No two tigers have the same patterns of stripes (same as our fingerprints)...

On fingerprints - Koalas also have fingerprints so similar to humans that experts find it difficult to distinguish the two (so if you're planning a crime, make sure to take a koala with you to throw off the detectives :P)

Donkey Kong got his name because the creator thought the word donkey meant stupid in English and wanted to send the message that you were playing as a stupid ape
But don't you play as Mario The first time donkey kong was introduced and you plY against him so aren't you fighting a stupid ape?
 
Most people here are likely familiar with Baskin Robbins ice cream shops. And most probably know they are famous for 31 flavors. But did you know the 31 is right there in their famous logo?

If you are observant, yes you probably knew that. If you are me, you didn't know that and wonder how you missed something so seemingly obvious all these years.

This one isn't as obvious, but still pretty cool. Again, most people are familiar with the Toyota logo.

And if you're like me, you could see the obvious "T" in the logo; in fact, that's all I thought it was. But... Did you know...

Kinda makes you wonder why when its a Japanese company. Anyone who knows Japanese only wouldn't recognize the English characters.
