I tell her that she is beautiful, stunning,
so much so that I grow to hate h
myself for it.
Beautiful in ways she does not believe matter,
and in ways I know most others do not appreciate.

I tell her that she is beautiful,
what I mean is that
who she is,
is beautiful.

It disturbs me at 12:53am, wakes me,
reminds me how it felt pressing her chest first against the wall,
grabbing a fistful of her hair by the roots.
How she arches her back, leaning her hips into me.
My teeth sinking into her right shoulder,
how it made her bite her bottom lip
and the growl that escaped her.

I can still taste her, and I can still feel my hands on her.
I can still feel her wet through her panties ,
I can still see the longing,
the wild,
the near begging in her eyes.
I still recall the bated breaths afterwards,
the way her hair fell around us both,
and her nails on my chest and back.

Laying naked, exposed to the other, the chill hits us, cools our bodies, and we count the minutes before we are ready again.

I see her, and I do not see what others see.
I see more, I suppose, because I’ve felt more of her.
I’ve felt more, I suppose, because I’ve given more of myself.

Who she is,
is beautiful,
and not everyone will see her that way.

I love that idea most of all.

When someone asks me what I'm afraid of
I play it basic and say the dark.

Sometimes I'll say heights,
Needles or even sharks.

Maybe I'll say spiders,
Or flying above the ground.

I'll say confined spaces,
Or even pain and loud sounds.

But I hide my real fears
And put it on a far shelf,

'Cause my biggest fear is that you'll see me
The way I see myself.

You hated your eye color,
Called it a dirty brown,
Wished for the deep blue of an ocean,
Where the admirers hearts would drown.
And it pained me when I realized,
You'd never see it like I do.

They way your eyes hint at a story,
That I want to read right through,
They hold specks of stolen sunlight,
That you'd miss with just one glance,
And a depth of raw emotion,
That can freeze you in a trance

They're a fix of melted chocolate,
When I'm craving something sweet,
But hold a gaze that's so unwavering,
That I find hard to meet.

I fall right down a rabbit hole,
When I look into your eyes,
The brown of earth's unfettered beauty,
That I yearn to memorize.

When I was tired of not belonging,
They made me feel like I'd been found,
And I hope you never say again,
That your eyes are simply brown.

A Kiss by David Taylor

Sweetness is on your lips
like honey flavoured early morning dew.
And your eyes have a depth of blue
that even deepest oceans cannot match
with a twinkling like the stars that flash
across the space between
in which our sight it seems is seen.
And your hair as in a gentle breeze
It takes each fine strand and wisps it
on the air as if a string that music makes

deep within, a heartfelt ring.
And your smile a glowing
and in its glowing knowing
that this is true love that’s surely flowing.
Our eyes melt into one
and lips they coalesce
arms embrace entwined.
Love flows and joins
and what seemed a seeming two
are known as one, no longer me and you.

And all the Angels stop and stare
the stars in their travels pause
the sands of time suspend their race
the universe so vast in space
becomes a very tiny place.
Because love flows and joins
this is Love’s gift to all
to know you are so vast, not small
joined in abundant bliss
that’s truly universal
and found in just one loving kiss.

I remember when the world broke in to rip apart my soul,
for years after that one event, I thought myself not whole,
my hours were spent with trying, to fix it up with tape and glue,
until one day I discovered, everyone else was broken too.

Here we were with pieces of ourselves in both our hands,
so fragile and so open, that I began to understand,
maybe I'd been greedy to want my soul all to myself,
when it could be a lot more helpful, in the palms of someone else.

Now every time I go somewhere, I leave a part of me behind,
and collect all of the pieces, of others' souls that I can find.

So when I'm meeting someone new, it's not just me they get,
but also tiny fragments, of all the others that I've met.
And my life's become much bigger, now that it's home to things so small,
and if this is what "broken"means, I do not mind at all.

LOVE IS-A Vicki_Wolf Original

Love is standing up for the ones you care for
Love is putting someone else's happiness before your own
Love is facing your fears to help someone else conquer theirs
Love is offering someone your attention not your advice until they ask for it
Love is the feeling of pride you feel when they spread their wings and fly
Love is the smile on your face when you feel how much they love someone else
Love comes in many shapes sizes and flavors each priceless in their own way
Love isn't a fleeting moment, it is a feeling that lasts forever
Love is a sisterhood, love is a pack, love is your heart
Love is always worth it.

Love is Always and forever, Unconditional and unwavering.
Love is the pride I feel when I think of you.
Love is holding you in my arms and letting our hearts say it all.
Love is the tears of happiness that well up every time we steal a moment together

You once asked if you did something good. This is my answer, you are incredible.

Love can take you to the top, of where you've never been.
Love can cause your heart to drop, and never be seen again.
Love can cause you to do things, you thought you'd never do.
Love can stop you in your tracks, and take a hold of you.
Love can make you feel in ways, you've never felt before.
Love can leave you cold and dark, crying on the floor.
Love can leave you breathless, amazed and in a daze.
Love can take your everything, and throw it all away.
Love can and love does, so many many things....all of this is true.
But the very best thing that love can bring,
Can only come from you.

Which one are you?

Someone in need;
Someone to feed.

Someone in love;
Someone above.

Someone that shares;
Someone with no cares.

Someone's dream;
Someone's fling.

Someone's muse;
Someone's dude.

Someone hopes;
Someone's joke.

Someone that cries inside;
Someone that tries to hide.

Someone that wants to show;
Someone that will never know.

Some people- A Vicki_Wolf original Inspired by @CdJane

Some people can make you smile when you are blue,
Some people help you hold your head high when the rain comes pounding down
Some people make you dance in the rain thankful for ever moment we share.
Some people take off your mask and still love the real you.
Some people can slide into your arms, because they belong there.
Some people will always make you glad you dared to try.
Some people are worth every doubt, every tear, every heartbeat.
Loving you is always worth it, because you are more than some person.
You are mine, I am yours, heart and soul, body and mind, in love

So any budding Poets about? I used to write stuff so many moons ago now. But thought I'd share a couple.

Hazy Days

The days drift on and on
But there must be an end.
I see her face in every crowd;
Hear her voice in every word.

Images of snatched moments we had
Drift like snowflakes through my heart.

I never knew why she left,
I guess she's never gone.
But I know there's a hole in my heart
Where she used to be.

Fireflies

From on high I watch the lights below
They shine like so many fireflies
Their patterns push out to light the dark
I wonder of the dreams
That those below are having
Their lives unaware of my passing

As I watch the land slip by
My thoughts reach upto heaven
My mind wanders like the clouds
But slowly I tire and fall into slumber
My mind dreams like those below
But onwards I always go..

Very good!

Not All Hearts Break Loudly

Not all hearts break loudly.
Some hearts break quietly, piece by piece, day by day.
Until one morning you wake up and realize that you don't enjoy the things you once did.

You no longer laugh
You don't recognize yourself anymore
You no longer feel anything

This is the saddest kind of heartbreak, the one that breaks unnoticed by anyone, not even itself.

Farewell to her

We did not meet by accident, we were paired up for a reason.

The times we spent were heaven sent,
If only for a season.

You were a ray of light in my otherwise dark and dismal life,
My Joy, my hope my love.
These things are not man made, they are sent from up above.

But now we two are torn apart and scattered in the dirt.

The only way ill be free of her is when my soul has left this earth.

If you never hear from me again, please remember me as a special friend,

And think of me each time you see, the fall leaves in the wind.

A chill wind whispers through my soul,
A fear so sharp, it takes control.
The thought of losing you, my dear,
Brings forth a trembling, silent tear.

Your presence, sun upon my face,
Your smile, a haven, warm embrace.
Your laughter, music to my ears,
Your touch, dissolving all my fears.

But shadows dance, unseen, unknown,
A chilling doubt, a seed is sown.
The future, veiled in mist and haze,
A haunting question, will you stay?

I clutch your hand, hold on so tight,
Wishing to stop the fading light.
To bind our souls with threads of gold,
A story never to be told,

Of hearts once joined, now torn apart,
A love lost, a broken heart.
But hope remains, a flickering flame,
That whispers true love knows no name.

For though the fear may linger still,
I'll love you fiercely, with all my will.
And pray that fate will kindly see,
Two souls entwined, eternally.

Very nicely spoken.

Each night I lie in bed alone and listen to the sounds of the night.
Thoughts flow through my mind like machine gun fire taking flight.
No peace will I find in the depths of my disillusioned mind, for Im fooling myself to think I will ever be anything but blind to my own desires.
But these things matter not; The life I own is the one I willingly bought.
