A question on U.K politics

I find the UK political system interesting , bit of course do not understand everything that goes on and why being as that I'm in another country and all haha! So I have a question. If the beginning of the problem with carribian immigrants paperwork started when May was Home Secretary why did Rudd step down? Was it a matter of her falling on her sword for May and the party? Or did she do something herself that forced her to resign? I have googled the story but am interested in what ' the man ( or woman) on the ground has to say' .

Amber rudd was the fall guy, there has been so much stuff on Mays watch she should never of became leader in the first place, she's a strong women in some cases but she should not be a leader of our country, like any other leader she will walk away from brexit and blame it on the people leaving her party broken.

She does not come off as country leader to me, but more of a project manager/CEO that was contracted a process to execute. Priorities she represents are definitely not the ones of her nation.

The problem for Rudd is she is a Remainer in a strong Leave area, and she has a record of not listening to her constituents.

May became leader only because when Dickhead David done a runner so did everyone else apart from the dancing dame May who needs to back borris and lets get trading with the real world again.
