Not that I've seen. You could use a random password generator to change it to a password you won't easy remember. Then when you do want to come back do a forgot password option. If you go that route its best to lock down your profile to keep everyone off of it.
There's no temporary "disabling" of your account. What you can do instead, is maximize Privacy Settings and disable all communication (Notifications/Alerts). Maximizing Privacy Settings will prevent people from viewing your profile page and disabling all Alerts will disable all notifications.
And if you requested a deletion of your account but now are second guessing, can you cancel said delete request?
I've used the "delete account" option and my account is still active over 24 hours later. What do I need to do to have my account deleted permanently?
If you choose to delete your account, your content will not be deleted. Content is never deleted. Content is content. If 50 currently activate users deleted their accounts and content were to go away, forum would suddenly be empty of content. YOUR CONTENT WILL NEVER BE DELETED. That's simply how forums work.
