Animal Kingdom

Sloths have gained a lot of popularity recently. I have to admit the stuffed animals are much cuter than most of the photos I've seen lol. But hell, I'd love to sleep 15, Yes FIFTEEN hours every day!!

Most people know they're slow af but did you know they only come down from the trees about once a week? They're surprisingly really good swimmers too
2-toed sloths are cuter

Always wanted them as pet but then I got to witness how their teeth are cut off with nail-cutters when they are baby and it was heartbreaking. It became illegal to have them as pet anyway.

Fennec fox! It's big ears main purpose is to dissipate heat as it lives in northern Africa...of course they also help to locate prey...like most foxes they pounce on their prey. Fennec foxes can jump about 2 ft high and 4 ft forward.

The bonobo, a species of great ape found in central Africa, is the only species other than humans who mate face-to-face, kiss (with tongues!), and engage in oral sex. Bonobos have sex a lot, and don’t seem to care very much about age or gender. Bonobos use sex in a variety of social situations, including greeting and conflict resolution. Primatologist Frans de Waal has said, “Chimps use violence to get sex, while bonobos use sex to avoid violence.” Sex at Dawn author Christopher Ryan has even suggested that bonobos have much to teach humans about their own love lives.

Oh, imagine our society if this actually happened with humans, how glorious it would be....and the STD medical field would be so advanced. I think I'm going to go pick a fight right now so I can get some bonobo conflict resolution. Lillyk, you suck, you use too many font colors!

Pangolins...most trafficked illegally poached animal. They're a cross in my mind between an armored ant eater and an opossum, they're defense is to curl up in a ball. This makes them rather easy for poachers to capture them, as they just pick them up at that point and take them away....

Greenland Shark....fully grown they are about 23 feet long (7 metres), females don't reach sexual maturity until about the age of 150 yrs old. The lifespan is estimated at between 300 and 500 years.

I love sea otters. If I could have one outside and take care of it I would totally do it!

The sea otter is a marine mammal native to the coasts of the northern and eastern North Pacific Ocean. They are one of heaviest of the weasel family, but one of the smaller marine mammals. Can spend its entire life in the water. Also they apparently eat a lot... they must consume between 25 and 40 percent of its body weight daily, just to keep warm. Oh and I just found out sea otters often sleep together holding paws together in order the keep from drifting apart!
