Literature BB77 Writing Thread

There are times I have words buzzing around in my head. I know it is a poem waiting to be written, but I just don't know about what. Then the first lines just comes to me... and minutes later its done, words released like blackbirds from a pie...
This was exactly like that. All weekend I knew I had something to write, and finally...

It's been a while since I posted anything, TBH I have been working on several different projects at once, and now I am proud to say, one of those is complete.
This is a very special story, stepping back to my roots a little, as it began as a back story to my furry alter ego and then stuff happened...

Close but no cigar, it's a long story, and not one I share freely.
I tried to message this, to no avail.
I enjoyed your poem. The last line reminded me of Edgar Allen Poe's The Telltale Heart and that's where the line "carefully concealed under 3 planks came from". Forgive my vague reference, but it was a compliment. I've tried to write, I have a lifetime of wild, crazy, pleasant, dramatic, funny stories all swimming in my head daily and when I try to put pen to them I forget the alphabet. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.
Thanks!
Yours in literature,
D
