Cutting the Cord

I'm getting rid of my directv. I have a Mohu hd antenna, and I got the Fire TV box that I'll hook up tomorrow. I plan on getting subcriptions to Hulu and Netflix, maybe Amazon too since I can get free 2 day shipping with it.

I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions that I should consider, whether it be equipment or app downloads, or whatever.

Thank you - I checked it out... it does seem pretty obvious, now. :)

Edit: I downloaded it today with the help of a youtube video & pulled up Sing just to give it a test run. It's pretty awesome - thank you again!

We used to have Direct tv. But, the hidden fee's were getting ridiculously too expensive. Loved the service though and I miss it greatly. But I usually watched Adult Swim during the night, and Del Rey movies during my fun "Single" weekeneds lol

I have not - never heard of such a thing until I read your post. I took a quick look, but I may have to spend some more time on it... looks interesting.

Ive used one for sports for about a year and half and it has been great but recently upgraded to a full package one and currently enjoying it more.

You're never gonna have the stability of normal satellite or cable but it's also a fraction of the cost. Swings and roundabouts.
 
I did the same thing 3 years ago. I dumped DirecTV and have never looked back. I have a digital antenna for local stations and a roku for everything else. I have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. I don't miss regular TV at all and I save a bundle.
