People won't sit there for hours at a time, uploading just memes—they already do that while chatting in their normally preferred room.

Memes are actually fun and allows those less confident to interact in a fun and harmless way.
I had no idea what a meme was before joining this site, but through a strange twist I became close friends with a member who enjoys memes and we even have a budding relationship outside in the real world !!
So memes are good for the site in my honest opinion.

People post memes in every room, all day long, to supplement whatever topic people are discussing.
 
What I'm saying is that people do that on all rooms. There's really no need for such a weird purpose channel.

How about just changing the default so when the new people and guests log in, it dumps them in sex chat rather than into the adults room. That's what 90% of them want anyway. I'm guessing most of the regs do what I do, have a desk-top shortcut that takes me to the room of my choice so it bypasses the 'default'.

I do like the idea of a members only room though.

It's not exactly a room, per se', but the ability to 'conference' several friends into one PM at the same time would be nice if its not possible to have 'private rooms'.

i've seen that room though it's dead as a doornail from what I notice

And as long as people participate with a pinch of salt and their tongue firmly in cheek, we mostly have a great banter session.
Usually it´s just the initial interest in the room subject that brings them together.

As sure as a bear does it´s business in the woods, all rooms end up sooner or later talking about food, it starts: user 1; I´m off for dinner, catch you all later.
User 2; Ooh what you having ?
Then the next 30 to 90 minutes is spent chatting about food.
Substitute music or anything else for food and there you have it !!!

I mean one for just recipes and sharing though would be pretty nice
