Stone Heart -by James
A bailey built around his heart,
yet upon one glance had sieged the walls and seized his castle,
peering back what once perfect solitary, then gazing forward now his new sanctuary.
All that he once was abandoned,
having neigh he press onwards,
bound by the path that shall be his new beginnings,
and thinking not of his past belongings.
Upon arrival the collision ignited,
beauty from the likes unknown to him,
being able entertain such a presence,
a muse with unbelievable incandescence.
The years grew since first they met,
and still in his eyes he saw her anew,
though he did not know the secret she kept,
for it won’t be long the day that he wept.
The day is now for sadness but truth,
as to another she had been untrue,
he grabbed some stones and began to build,
and knew that glance is what had him killed.
