This might be an interesting thread (stokes the boiler)...
Name a programme or programmes which other people like, yet you cannot abide.
My opening submissions are:
This Country - BBC
I hardly laughed at all - even the 'Tomato' joke could not save it for me. I appreciate that the show's writers put a lot of time and effort into it but it wasn't for me.
Derry Girls - Channel 4
Just too predictable for me. Could not get into it at all, the jokes were dated or just bland.
It's probably me getting older, but I long for the George Carlin, Peter Cook and David Chappelle type of comedy - edgy and which will push boundaries and challenge instead of being 'safe' or just bland.
