Thoughts Tip of the day

If you're in the Northern hemisphere and seem to be getting sinus headaches more often during cold winters, your living space may be too dry. Keep the relative humidity of your living space at 45%-55%. Few humidifiers should to the trick. Have at least one in the bedroom.

Pseudoscience. I see no happiness in ingredients.

Bananas contain tryptophan, an amino acid, that the body converts into serotonin. It is serotonin that is responsible for making people feel happier. Serotonin, also known as the “happy hormone”, promotes a more positive, happy mood.

It's also found in red meat, eggs, chocolate, cheese... In developed parts of the world, tryptophan is hardly a scarce, food-source chemical and all the sugar in the banana is certainly not needed. Also: "In order for your body to convert tryptophan to niacin, you must also have enough dietary iron, riboflavin and vitamin B-6, according to Medline Plus."

In conclusion: If your diet is on the either extreme end of the spectrum, banananananas won't do anything other than supply you with sugar.

I eat a lot of chocolate and cheese too!

Bananas are good for preventing cramps too. I believe its the magnesium content.
Asparagus is also good for easing period cramps. Eat a few spears a day for the 3 or 4 days before it's due. Its a natural diuretic and period cramps are usually caused by fluid retention. Works for me.
