Just a shame that Trivia doesn´t get more visitors.
Despite it´s teething problems it turned into a great room. Chatting and having a crack about the questions and the (sometimes) dumb answers.
Always hoping for a resurgance !!!
I agree with the sentiment but not the implementation. Age doesn't equal maturity.
What about a SERIOUS ROLE PLAY room for individuals that want to do text based role play?
- disable the downloads. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a picture book is for children.
- make it clear that creative writing is the goal, lewdness is great but not the sole goal, and that spelling, punctuation and grammar... well, please attempt it! (We're all learning but text speak isn't even trying. Note: some excellent role players have limited English and still trounce many native speakers.)
I can answer this one.
Putting a 'Serious RP Room' is not going to prevent people who think they can play from entering that room. RP is a subjective form of entertainment. What one person calls 'detailed' pales when one encounters say, a professional writer. Again, 'detail' is subjective. Its subject to the limitations of the individual person's literary ability.
Think about this, very few people here actually 'role play'. What most do is 'scene play'. They have generic characters but detailed scenes. They aren't interested in 'playing a role' or are unable to play one and play 'scenes' instead. Actual Role play is a form of acting which to do well involves having a comprehensive biography for the character.
90% of all FCN Role Play is no more than a masturbation aid. The remaining 10% who Role Play for the entertainment have usually hooked up with fellow devotees after a few visits to FCN and have those style players safely saved on their friend's lists.
My pet gripe is people who have comprehensive information about the character they want the other person to play and nothing about their character. For the record, I choose who I play based on the the other player's character or I post my character and see what the other player has character-wise that will compliment mine. A detailed biography is the scene so there is no point in describing a scene because it limits the creativity of the players and stifles imagination.

Changed the room topic to "Truth or dare, or confess your sins, you dirty heathen!" Enjoy.
The problem with such highly specific topic rooms is that most people are interested and others who click in, see it's nearly empty or empty and click right out. As a result, the room never fills up. We can't have a topic that's too focused on a single thing.

I think you´ll find in a lot of rooms where the chatters know each other reasonably well, someone usually suggests "Truth or Dare" as an Ice-breaker, also as a way of getting relatively new or less outgoing people to participate.Ohk i gotcha brother.
Yes you are right. So Confession room have people who can send pictures. No problem would try that out
