I think the OP is right, but it’s going to come down to something far more quantifiable and less romantic. Although, we’ll still keep it romantic, as humans do.

Quantum physics is already breaking open the fourth wall of reality; the actors looking directly at the audience, as it were. Here shortly we’re going to figure out something unimaginable holds all of this together, makes it move and grow. And die and be reborn. Why not love?
