How could God be infinite?!

In the beginning there was God and She was pure and infinite Energy. On the first day, She took a piece of Herself and gave birth to the Universes in what was called by some the First Big Bang!

Karen seems to know a lot about God. We are very lucky to have her on our sex forum.

Talking about sex, aren't those things that are beyond a Supreme Power as God ? Isn't God a force like light or time or a whole or something beyond our humane understanding ? Why do you think God has a pee pee or a vajayjay ?

Also, do you think it's a little pretentious to say that God made us at his (according to the bible, he's a dude) image ? And if God is a man or a woman, does that make the other gender inferior ? Follow up question for that one is, should we build concentration camp for men or women (depending which gender God has) that are inferior ?

Thanks in advance for your answers, Karen.

Always glad to oblige! I was raised Catholic, so never really was bothered by Church dogma. Catholics accept dogma and conveniently ignore parts that do not apply to their lives.

God doesn't really have a sex. She transcends that. We have sexes because we have not yet been enlightened. We are still a work in progress, evolving towards our divine state, where we will finally achieve God's image as beings of pure energy. I refer to Her as female because I believe that women are more evolved than men and so closer to God's image. Men are not inferior, just less evolved.

I believe that "Sex" is the most basic tenant of the true religion because it fuels our evolution to our divine state. Birth control is unfortunate, but better than abstinence.

Not inferior but less evolved? Hahaha That is silly as is everything else you have said. Almost as full of contradictions as the bible .

More evolved doesn't necessarily mean superior, just different, as men are different from women. Women are better designed to bear children and propagate the species, so more evolved than men. Ask any woman!

I don't see any contradictions. Reptiles like alligators may have evolved from dinosaurs. Are they superior? In what ways?

My beliefs are consistent with my Judaeo-Christian background. I just think that people have been interpreting the Bible wrongly in some aspects because they have been incapable of correctly interpreting God's Message. She sent Jesus Christ to us as a man to demonstrate that She does not hold men to be inferior to women like Mary who birthed Him!

You are being silly now! This is Religion! It is what I believe! When you can prove to me that it is wrong, I will revisit my beliefs.
I'm not asking you to revisit anything. And I have no interest in proving you wrong. If you have no proof of what you believe I am not surprised. Neither does anyone else who believes in religion.

You are right, of course. Religion is not about proof. It is about belief.

Religion is not Science! It is different, but not better and not worse. There are many similarities, but also differences. Some people try to make Science a religion and others try to make Religion a science, but they are both wrong. Science and Religion have different processes for change and evolution. Much of religious doctrine is wrong. Much of scientific theory is wrong. As religious doctrine becomes outdated or fails to serve, it evolves. As scientific theories are disproved by new evidence, they evolve.

Religion is nonsense made up by man because people can't accept the finality of death. There is no factual basis for any of it. No.logic .Just fear of the inevitable. It is not similar to science at all.

lol, you have no idea what you are talking about. There are lots of religions that don't even address an afterlife. Atheism is one of them, but there are lots of others. You sound like one of those that is trying to make a religion out of Science. As a scientist, I consider that a travesty!

Is there a God? Let us create a scientific theory that there is! How do we prove or disprove that theory. Let us set up a series of experiments that generate evidence pro or con. No that is silly. It can't be done and any rational person already knows that there is no God, so no experiments are necessary and it becomes scientific dogma like 'the World is the center of the Universe', 'the World is flat', and 'the atom is the smallest particle'. It becomes part of the unproven scientific dogma that makes up lots of Science, waiting for a Galileo, Rutherford, Einstein or Hawkins to get a Eureka moment that changes the Science everyone believes. But the new scientific theory may change in the future as we discover new information or view things in a slightly different way. There is no proof in Science that God does not exist, so that question remains the domain of Religion.

You talk like there is no value in belief, while you try to sell your beliefs to others. You believe that Religion is nonsense, but don't explain why you say that. What makes it nonsense. Does it not serve any purpose? Does it not address any questions that people have? Why is it so popular then? Most people think that other peoples' religions are nonsense, and their Religion is the only true one. Atheists do that a lot!

You are way over thinking . I just wanted to see how you would explain those ridiculous things you said . haha

smile! You hit one of my buttons, or maybe a couple! I am a 100% believer in Science, in rationality and in logic. I have advanced degrees in Microbiology and Mathematics. I am also a firm believer in Religion, though my belief in God shifts from time to time. I respect all religions, even if I decry the people who use them for their own power and influence.

I love Science and have since I was a little girl when that was frowned upon. But, people have irrational expectations of Science. Science will never replace Religion. Religion is about belief in God. Science is about belief in Nature (everything else). People can benefit from both. If you have problems with the way a Religion is being used, address the problems.

Science is flawed like Religion is flawed. People use Science for their own power, money and influence, just like everything else. Science can make life easier for people or destroy them. We as people need to decide. Do we use Science to combat Climate Change and heal our pollution of our air, land and water? Or do we continue to ignore the damage we have done and try to make as much money as we can, while we can, until it is too late? Those aren't questions of Science. Science provides us with information, some of it true and some of it false. People have to decide what is most true and what is least true and then use it to make their lives better. Economics plays a role in that, as does Politics.

I said nothing about whether you believe in science. All religion is false .No matter the dogma.

She respects all religions but not those who don't believe.... ok....
I consider Atheism a Religion, so my comments apply to those who believe there is no God and incorporate that belief in their lives. It also applies to Agnostics who decide god is not important and refuse to decide if he exists or not.

I believe that all people are religious, if they think and wonder about life and their place and purpose in it, even if they conclude there is no God, and no purpose except that which they set.

I also believe that everyone's religion is personal, even if they identify with a major Religion such as Christianity. Each person has her own system of behaviors and practices, morals, beliefs, worldviews, and ethics that relates humanity to supernatural, transcendental, and spiritual elements. They have their own concept of right and wrong and their own system of determining where their behaviors fall and the expected consequences of those behaviors.
