That is your religious view and I believe it is false. My religious view is the true and correct one!I said nothing about whether you believe in science. All religion is false .No matter the dogma.
Who are they and why are you lumping me in with them? Are you talking about all the people who have decided whether or not they believe in God? Does that mean that you are not one of them? Or are you talking about all of those people who have religious views different than your own?Yep that is how they all are. Doesn't matter the religion.
Thats your belief... how can't you say he is wrong? But you are right ?That is your religious view and I believe it is false. My religious view is the true and correct one!
I was just being catty, because he said my religious views were were false, implying his were true. I am okay with everybody's religion, even his! I only get upset when peoples actions violate my moral views.Thats your belief... how can't you say he is wrong? But you are right ?
We all have our reasons for believing or not believing.... @Dcdevon is the sweetest man I have ever met, I believe he was sent to me by someone but we don't believe it was God....... we will leave it at thatI was just being catty, because he said my religious views were were false, implying his were true. My religion is my own. It is heavily Humanistic, but borrows some from Judaism, a lot from Christianity, a little from Islam (I have not done a lot of research, but I still intend to), quite a bit from Buddhism and some from Hinduism. It is flexible, not dogmatic. I believe that God is the Creator and set everything in motion. I believe our evolution is still in progress and now is completely under our control. I believe that God accomplished everything She intended and is now resting and waiting to see if we achieve our purpose. I believe She gave us the tools we need to be successful and it is up to us to get there.
My religion is spiritual, but entirely consistent with my view of Science, rationality and logic. In fact, it draws a lot from Science and environmental responsibility.
I am happy you found each other!. @Dcdevon is the sweetest man I have ever met, I believe he was sent to me by someone but we don't believe it was God....... we will leave it at that
You are bat shit crazyThat is your religious view and I believe it is false. My religious view is the true and correct one!
Anyone stupid enough to believe what you do.Who are they and why are you lumping me in with them? Are you talking about all the people who have decided whether or not they believe in God? Does that mean that you are not one of them? Or are you talking about all of those people who have religious views different than your own?
You are rambling and contradicting yourself. You don't even know what you believe.I also believe that everyone's religion is personal, even if they identify with a major Religion such as Christianity. Each person has her own system of behaviors and practices, morals, beliefs, worldviews, and ethics that relates humanity to supernatural, transcendental, and spiritual elements. They have their own concept of right and wrong and their own system of determining where their behaviors fall and the expected consequences of those behaviors.
Sigh! You are right! Maybe that is why I am on here! To bounce ideas around and see what sticks. Some of my comments were simply to make people stop and think. Thanks to those that stopped and commented. You are rambling and contradicting yourself. You don't even know what you believe.
Not inferior but less evolved? Hahaha That is silly as is everything else you have said. Almost as full of contradictions as the bible .
That is said of black peopleImagine saying that of black people.
Smile! I think of Calculus!Whenever I hear infinite I think divide by zero error
lol, Yes, some infinite sets are more infinite than others!Except for the cardinality of infinities

A little more rambling. Feel free to skip. I will try not to contradict myself.
I have always considered myself more Christian, than anything else. I was brought up Catholic. That was the basis of my religious understanding, my ideas of right and wrong and my role in the World. I lived in the United States, a country that prides itself on freedom of religion, the right of people to freely choose their religious beliefs without coercion from the Government. But much of the legal statutes are based on Christian values and morality.
As I grew older, some of my views began to differ from what I was taught, especially as I moved from place to place, as I started looking at other cultures and religions, as I lived in other countries and attended other religious services, as I lived under different legal systems and faced different challenges in daily life. So now, I have been on this Earth for 60 years and have gone back and forth between religions. I do believe that everybody's religion is personal, even when they identify with a particular Major Religion.
Do I believe in God? Yes, I do. Why? Because the alternative seems pretty absurd. There was nothing until there wasn't. The Universe with all its physical framework just happened. There was no energy and no mass until Bang!
Do I believe in a vengeful God, a compassionate God, a God in our own image? No, so not Jewish, Christian, Hindu, or Islamic. So does that make me an Atheist? No, probably more of an Agnostic with a Humanistic and somewhat Buddhist philosophy of life.
I still identify as Christian in my own mind, but do I believe in Christ? Yes. Do I believe that Christ is God? Obviously not, more the Islamic view of Christ as Prophet. Was he sent to us by God? Maybe, very indirectly. Do I value Christ's teachings? Yes, very much! I never believed that the Bible was the literal Word of God, but enjoyed bible studies. I never believed that Mary was a virgin and always found it hard to believe that people would care.
Am I afraid of burning in Hell? No, I have lived my life consistent with my understanding of right and wrong and am willing to take my chances.
Do I value Religion and believe it is an important part of human existence? Yes.
Do I believe in the ten commandments? More or less. Do I believe that thou shalt not kill? More or less. When not in self defense or in the protection of others. I believe that life is sacred. Do I believe in Abortion? I wouldn't have one, unless my life was in danger. I believe life begins at birth. I believe in freedom of choice as a legal standard, but don't believe the choice should be made lightly. If you get pregnant through your own poor judgement, you need to see it through.
I don’t claim to be Christian. I know I am not. I said I consider myself to be Christian, because I was raised that way and most of my beliefs about right and wrong came from my Christian upbringing. All our beliefs come from somewhere! This doesnt make any sense. You claim to be a Christian, which would be fine, but then youre picking and choosing which parts to believe and which parts to take as interpretation. It just sounds like you want to essentially create your own religion with your own beliefs
