Why can't we be enough?

Why does the human race have to be so inherently flawed?

Why can't enough just be enough?

Why can't we have our realities be our fantasies, and our fantasies be our realities?

Why can't our actions be purely selfless but always have a reason behind them, known or unknown?

Why do we end up wanting more than what we have?

Why can't we just be enough.

My mantra! Why didn’t I see this tread before..ohh it’s the flowing locks of @Thalassa .....figures....all the sweet words, lovely hair...and...not sure where I was going with this....

NO EXPECTATIONS

No one owes you anything.

We were taught about "doing favors" for people and expecting them to reciprocate. The truth is that no one owes you anything. Anything that you're given : trust, respect, help, attention, love, friendship, material things -
1) some people decide they want you to have those because they judged you to be worthy of it.
2) and some people, they just want something in return. Sooner or later, they'll be there to collect.

No expectations mean you don't try to control a person. You shouldn't have to. You shouldn't want to. They should be free to do as they choose. If they choose to make you happy, then it's truly genuine and not because they pity you, are fearful of your reactions, or that they feel they have to for whatever reason. If they choose to treat you badly, then that's what they would've done anyway, whether you tried to influence them or not.

No expectations means good surprises, means greater appreciation for the good things coming your way.

No expectations means bad surprises don't hurt as much. They just are what they are.

No one owes you anything and you shouldn't make them feel like they do. Just let things be. Because forcing things never work.

Wrote this for my kids 15 years ago used to sing it to them at bedtime story.

Floatin on the amazon,
Nothin but my jamas on!
Just me and my iguana.
And a pocket of piranaz.
Now Iguana wanna big banana
Hangin from a tree.
But when I go for that banana
A monkey he see me.
Now this monkey is quite chunky from bananas in this tree.
It looks to me like what I see is a banana Monkey Junkie.
He is so fat and gettin fatter,
To climb the tree he must use a ladder.
In fact the fact of this monkey fat matter is a mystery to me!
As I reach out for the last banana he is quite perturbed you see.
We tussle and we tossle and we fall out of the tree.
The fall it doesn't hurt at all I land upon the sand, on the chunky monkeys hand.
The sand's as hot as gorilla snot and only gettin hotter.
On the ground we roll around then into the water.
We wrestle and we wrastle, its hotter than a sauna.
I reach into my pocket and I pull out a pirana.
Now my piranas are not mean they are such friendly fish.
But the chunky monkey was so frightened he just did not know this.
So now the monkey is off my back and I look up in the tree.
I expect to find the last banana, but unfortunately....
Much to my suprise.....
The very last banana hit me right between the eyes.
I had a banana splitting headache I had been bananasized.
But all is well on the amazon for finally you see,
my iguana got a banana and you got a laff from me.
I hope....
