We all have our opinions and i respect each one but...

Fellow humans, the existence itself and whats part of it, etc. etc. gives meaning to life, at least it should.
Religion comes with no good, for example, every single war in one way or another has happened because of religion,
how an earth it could be considered as a good thing.

Hundreds of millions have died past 5000 - 10 000 odd years, because of the religion...

Or because of 1 or more completely insane human beings? Religion has nothing to do with wars.

Wars don't happen because of religion, religion is just misused to account for these conflicts.
They happen because someone smelled money.

Really? And what were the Crusades about ? And all the wars fought in Europe between Protestants and Catholics? What was the Inquisition about ? Not a classical war between countries but against fellow humans just the same . The war in Northern Ireland? Which wasn't just about religion but religion was a big part. I could go on and on but have work to do .

That sucks, having to work on Sundays.
Now I know why you are really angry.

Religion itself can't do anything. It's the people who use it as an (apparantly very good) excuse. All sides kept screaming. "God wills it" or "God is with us" The main reason is simply because some people are insane. And the rest of the world is easy to manipulate. The same with money, money isn't a bad or evil thing. It's when the crazy people buy crazy shit like nuclear weopons, that money becomes a dangerous thing.

That makes no sense . If a war is fought completely or partly over religion no matter the reason that religion is a part of the death and destruction caused by it . And if you think only crazy people start wars you are naive at best . Religion has been and continues to be the cause of violence , death and suffering. And who's angry? I'm just presenting a different viewpoint. As I always say you are free to believe whatever nonsense you want . It's your life .

All wars come down to two main factors: land and oil. The crusades were to stop the Muslim expansion.

That may be what it's about for those in power. But that's not what may be told to those that went to fight . In the begining I'm sure the Knights Templar believed the were fighting to save the Holy Land . Of course the American South wanted to keep slaves for economic reasons . But being told black people were the sons of Ham helped. And of course the progroms were about taking land and property but people believing Jews were evil because they helped crucify Jesus helped. You can't tell the masses this ok because it benefits us the rich because that doesn't benefit the average person. It's the same type thing Tr.ump and the British PM are doing now as well as the Presi.dent of Brazil. It's easier to get people to agree with things if you foster an us vs them mentality .

Another good example is Muslim extremists . Does anyone think that people could be convinced to blow themselves up in a market if they didn't believe they would go to paradise ? Those people believe it's a holy war . Some of them believe they are going to expel the west out of Muslim lands . They believe it is the will of Allah. Religion is one of their reasons for fighting . Does anyone think that without religion they could possibly believe they could defeat a country with enough military power to completely destroy the entire world , with some rockets and machine guns on the back of pickup trucks ?

I live without religion everyday. I think that religion has no place in the modern world. Like Venus mentioned earlier, I think that religion had its place 100s of years ago. It helped the world to develop a set of morals and laws. Its extremely outdated and needs to go imo. Most religions condone blatant racism, sexism, genocide, rape, and murder of those who think differently than you. If you look at Christianity and America for example, the Bible was used to condone and encourage slavery, which is also why slavery went on for as long as it did. Even after slavery was abolished, The Bible was still used to condone the treatment of African Americans and other minorities as second class citizens and deny them the basic human rights that the whites had. It was used to condone the sexist treatment of women and deny them the same rights as men. Religion has no place in todays world

Agreed...
People all over the sands of history have been fighting over land, and calling some land "holy", and manipulate the masses into believe this is so...
…. very sad consequences.....

You guys are mentioning religion isnt bad but bad humans use it for their advantage...emmm who created religion in the first place? Sure they had good ideas on paper, but it was just mainly a way to bring the masses together back in the day through fear mongering. *inserting sound of sheeps bleating*
Times have changed, but people wanna cling onto the past, I dont get it at all. MOVE FORWARDS FFS.
My parents taught me my morals, that was enough. Good old fashioned parenting.

I personally think we'd be at least 2,000 years ahead of where we are today as a humanity if religion never happened.
Too true, all that knowledge that got burnt up by the muslims when they ransacked Alexandria. The catholic church did a lot of book burning during the dark/middle ages too. Muppets. I could of been living on another planet now. Oh well....

I could live in a world without religion, and to a great extent already do, living in a cosmopolitan liberal city in Europe: but I would not like to live in a world where people's beliefs were banned, ridiculed or held in contempt. Criticise people for their actions, not for who they are or what they believe.
