Simulation of a virus epidemic:

There are some useful links in the description of that video.

This is fascinating in how it illustrates how difficult it is to forecast even the near future.
It's a projection of hospital resource use, which is mostly what our efforts are about.

The default view is for the entire U.S. but a pull-down allows you to look at individual states.

For my location it's predicting that on April 15 we could need 4,000 beds...or 700. They're not sure.

That's not a prediction 10 weeks out. It's 10 days out, and still a 6x range from low to high.

It's far more useful if you can compare reported data in your state against the projections.

So far, reported covid-related admissions in my state are substantially lower than the best-case prediction, which is a welcome development.

Information on how CoV (and other) evade innate immune responses. It's a little thick and expects familiarity with immune response but it is suggestive of therapeutic targets and suggests research follow up for potential attenuated "live" vaccine approach. The paper was submitted last year and peer reviewed just a couple months ahead of the novel CoV, so it is not mentioned directly.
