U.S. Election 2020

I recently turned a hobby into revenue. I will not be getting any government pension at 65. The goal to succeed and save money for retirement has taken a major hit in my bank account because of taxes yesterday. I will never be the one percenters, but I pay my own way and small entrepreneurs were what made us all great at one time.
That's cool although I'm taking my social security when it's time . I've been paying for the baby boomers most my life. Im certainly taking the millinenials money when it's my turn.

From a population perspective, we millennials are not having the number of children to boost the old age pension. You may need to save a bit more. Lower taxes will help that if you are disciplined enough to save what you can.
I have money in a separate retirement plan. I don't actually think social security will pay me enough to live on. Not with the cost of living rising as fast as it does. A loaf of bread will be 8 bucks or something by the time I retire.

No vitriol hatred to anyone in this thread, or anyone who still considers themselves a liberal in 2019, dislikes Rudeman and want to see him lose, etc. - but if Creepy Joe Biden is the best candidate that you have, then I advise you hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I'm not a betting man, but I'd bet my life savings that Rudeman will be re-elected in 2020. No question. Easy. The main reason is the Democratic Party, which has slid further and further left since (around) 08 with Mister Niceguy, and especially Bernie Sanders. The Overton Window has moved, and a moderate in 2019 can, and probably will, be labelled "alt-right" by the media, leftists on Twitter, etc. By doing this, the alienate the silent majority, while the lunatic vocal majority destroy themselves, they're fighting against each other and they're fragmented. Every time the regressive left pushes their fringe, far-left agenda into the mainstream - more and more are turned away. I'm for gay marriage, against war and everything - but what - race-based economic policies and SOCIALISM in the mainstream? No more free speech and the "gender pay gap" myth? Are you serious? Nah man.

But good luck, guys. Don't let another 4 years of Rudeman destroy your happiness. BTW, if I was you I'd vote for Andrew Yang. He's not perfect, but no one is. He's about as impractical as Bernie Sanders, giving everyone universal basic income, but you know, nothing wrong with dreaming. Free healthcare and chocolate milk in the drinking fountains for all!

Now, in Australia, last week, on Tuesday the 9th April, The Government called for the next election. We're all (Voting is compulsory in AU) on May the 18th, 2019. They leaves them 5 weeks to campaign. Even that's too long. How you American friends handle 12 months of it is beyond me. :)

UPDATE:

Today is Australia's federal election day. We've suffered 5 weeks of campaigning and its come down to this.
We will most likely know by midnight if we have a new Prime Minister or not, then they will fade back into obscurity till next time.

I return you to your US readership.

I saw the same one on Gab.ai. Are you on Gab David? If you're not you should.
Nope. But I've heard of Gab, along with Minds, through Tim Pool. Since Twitter - like Google/YouTube and Facebook - have a clear anti-conservative bias; there's a market for a free speech platform. I don't even use Twitter, so I'm not motivated to use Gab. Ever consider how funny it is that this is "free chat"? Strictly monetarily, of course.

The 1st amendment states that Congress ( the government) can not pass laws restricting free speech . It applies only to the government. This website and any other websites or social media platforms are not part of the government. So it doesn't apply to them or any other companies or business. So these free speech complaints are pure ignorance and stupidity. Also I thought conservatives were all about less regulation of business? But here y'all are trying to regulate how businesses conduct themselves based on a part of the Constitution that doesn't apply to them . Hypocrite much ?

I understand what you're saying. But I didn't say that. I said:

There's a clear anti-conservative bias, therefore there's a market for free speech platforms - like Minds or Gab [I don't use any of them, so I can't comment on how well they operate]. Jack Dorsey on JRE even said that conservatives are afraid to even speak their opinions. And these are people working from the inside. Some woman leaked how Facebook was throttling conservative live streams through complicated algorithms. She was eventually caught and fired. It's no secret that these Silicon Valley techies are mostly liberal. SJW radiation and too busy coding to know anything else. Beta males. It only makes sense. I think YouTube, Twitter and Facebook are monopolies, but I'm not interested in the Government stopping itself from becoming the technocracy it's destined to become. If the hydra is to be beheaded - it won't be by its own hands.

There's an argument to be made that these social media platforms ought to have free speech, as it's public utility - like telephones. But the media is so new that there's no legislation on this. It'll most likely happen, like it did with TV and the radio. But I'm not saying and I have never said they ought to do this. I mostly don't care and expect it.

Gab is as far as I know the go to site for those in the Alt right who were banned from Facebook for racist posts and fake news posts like smellynews type things . They complained alot about their first amendment being violated at the time Facebook purged some of them. @Autonomous posted memes about it. My post was more directed at her than you . Although to be fair I rid think that was what you were insinuating as well. But I'm not always right . Just 99 percent of the time .
