Complaint Uploading Image Error

I've been fine with placing pics and links to youtube clips all through the time frames that others have mentioned, right up until today. Previously fine files and new ones get the 'oopsie' response, which as a former IT trouble shooter (30 years professional experience) I find about as useful as a bus timetable when wondering when my train will arrive. PNG files seem okay so far, jpgs useless and external links to youtube variable.

The more things change the less reliable they are - spent too many decades seeing patchwork coding and people with 'really good ideas' totally fail to understand what reliability and thorough testing actually mean in the actual world.

Yeah I can post pics through using a URL link and all that stuff but ya just can't upload images to threads using the upload button and same with the profile picture and banner. I noticed this first happened around July 1st and it was working fine yesterday and now it's not again. So we shall wait again and hopefully gets fixed soon.

Totally smacks of some revision upgrade to an extension or add on that isn't reacting as the brochure, or sales rep said it would. Give them time to upgrade other bits or revert the 'new improved' bits and it'll be fine. For a while.

Yeah nothing works for me even if my files are png sometimes if I screenshot the image I want it will work but only works at times with some pictures.

Classic server upgrade flow on, make a change and as it propagates around the system (of which the actual machines could be anywhere on the planet - well at least probably not Antarctica, yet) we'll get differing results on where we are in reference to which node we're linked to and its spot in the up/down grade process. Best bet, sit in the sun and read a book.

Ya well again I reported this on July 1st and got fixed as of 8/5 but now it's broken again lol so we shall see how long it takes for it to be fixed again. Until then just use my URL linking way lol

Try screenshotting the image you want and see if that works. It does at times
From the little I know that would suggest the image is too large. If you can reduce it in size then it should work. I know how to do it on an apple phone but otherwise have no idea how to do it

Usually I screenshot my images and it works for me without having to resize for me and I have an android.
